| Eamon Valda |
Michael Douglas - 29.4%
Bruce Willis - 5.9%
Alan Rickman - 5.9%
There's something eerily perfect about Michael Douglas as Eamon Valda. Douglas has played all kinds of roles in his career, but the ones we remember most are the villains, the oily bastards like George Gekko in 'Wall Street', or the devious husband in 'A Perfect Murder'. |
Michael Douglas
I see no reason to change my mind about this pick. Even when Douglas is playing a good guy, I keep expecting the man to turn around and join the Dark Side.

| Pedron Niall |
F. Murray Abraham - 13.5%
Anthony Hopkins - 10.8%
Sean Connery - 8.1%
I've noticed that in a lot of cases, the actors I selected in the previous cast list have led in the voting for this list. This is a heartening development, but not one that I take seriously. After all, how many people would remember who F. Murray Abraham is if they hadn't seen him in my old cast list? |
Ian McKellen
He's become a hot property lately, with high-profile roles in 'X-Men' and 'Lord of the Rings', and justifiably so. (Britain didn't knight him for nothing) |
 |
| Geofram Bornhald |
Donald Sutherland - 59.0%
Martin Sheen - 5.1%
Robert Redford - 5.1%
I think the best casting decision I made in the last cast list was Donald and Kiefer Sutherland for the Bornhalds, and as the voting indicates, many of you agree. The other possibility was Martin and Charlie Sheen, but I find it difficult to imagine Charlie as a pious soldier.
|
Donald Sutherland
The funny thing about Sutherland is that he will act in any movie you cast him in. For every good movie that he starred in, there's ten more he did just for the money. Yet he still gets respect from his peers. |
 |
| Dain Bornhald |
Kiefer Sutherland - 55.3%
Charlie Sheen - 5.3%
Brendan Fraser - 5.3%
It won't be long before Kiefer is too old for this part; I suspect that the next cast list will not include him and his father. Brendan Fraser - now that's an odd choice. |
Kiefer Sutherland
What kind of name is 'Kiefer' anyway? |
 |
| Jaret Byar |
Jeremy Irons - 11.5%
Tim Roth - 7.7%
Geoffrey Rush - 7.7%
This whole page boasts a strong list of actors who have played effective, memorable villains: Jeremy Irons, Tim Roth, Anthony Hopkins, Michael Douglas, Alan Rickman. Irons just looks evil, like he was born to it or something. Of course, there are Forsaken yet to be cast...
|
Christian Bale
The inspiration for this casting selection is the movie 'American Psycho'. Substitute the word 'American' with 'Amadician' and 'Psycho' with 'Zealot', and you've got Jaret Byar. The look Bale has on his face when he's running around with a chainsaw is both hilarious and frightening. He's a keeper.

 |
| High Lord Turak |
Avery Brooks - 14.3%
Rupert Everett - 9.5%
Rupert Everett? Others getting votes in this category include: Sly Stallone, Keanu Reeves, Janet Reno, James Caan, and Max Von Sydow, which serves to illustrate that few people have a handle on who Turak is and what he looks like. |
Antonio Banderas
I'm not claiming to be the Turak expert or anything, but I wanted an actor who could wield a blade and look damn good doing it. That's Banderas. In fact, I've heard that Antonio became a greater bladesmaster than the guy who trained him for 'Mask of Zorro'. |
 |
| Couladin |
Wesley Snipes - 20.8%
Sean Bean - 8.3%
Antonio Banderas - 8.3%
We all know from the movie 'Blade' that Snipes has got the martial arts thing down cold. Is he a big enough bad-ass for Couladin? |
Wesley Snipes
That would be a yes. I like Snipes as an actor, but he seems to turn it up a notch in a genre movie like 'Blade', and he's got the skillz. |
 |
| Dashiva |
Tommy Lee Jones - 23.1%
Brad Pitt - 11.5%
I'll admit, Brad Pitt does play crazy people really well ('12 Monkeys', 'Fight Club'), and Tommy Lee Jones has had his moments of mental instability (why did he decide to star in 'Volcano' anyway?). Without knowing for sure whether Dashiva and Osan'gar are the same person, I'm going to cast two different people. |
Tommy Lee Jones
He's a great actor, and this role is the best fit for him. Middle-aged, irascible, possibly insane. Think of his performances in 'Under Siege' and 'Blown Away'. |
 |
| Jaichim Carridin |
Jeremy Irons - 42.4%
Gene Hackman - 6.1%
Christopher Walken - 6.1%
Once again, a previous cast list pick emerges as the voter's favorite, as Irons wins easily over Hackman and Walken (both good picks in their own right).
|
Jeremy Irons
He's too good at what he does to pass him over for what is one of the juiciest villains in the Wheel of Time series. Irons is the master at playing evil tempered by self-interest and self-preservation.
|
 |
| Hadnan Kadere |
Tom Sizemore - 14.3%
Brian Dennehy - 7.2%
Robbie Coltrane - 7.2%
This is an interesting result; all three of these actors have played villains in their careers to some success, and they've all used their size as an intimidation tactic.
|
Brian Dennehy
I'm picking Dennehy because he was such a good villain in 'Silverado', displaying charisma and callousness equally well. He's a big man, but not flabby; a smart, cunning man who knows his strengths and acts accordingly.
